MacDonald Island Park is home to a large fitness centre including free weights, cardio machines and weight machines, a running track with workout pockets and basic workout materials and a new high performance training centre. We also provide personal training services and a wide range of fitness and HPTC classes and programs.

You can expect high intensity conditioning drills, speed and agility circuits, along with an introduction to Kickboxing pad and bag work.       Our HPTC Winter Season Open Gym gives you the option
      of utilizing the High Performance Training Centre (HPTC)
      space on your own. You will be able to access the different
      pieces of equipment the space has to offer, including the
      Olympic lifting platform, multiple squat racks, tire flipping,
      climbing rope, rogue rig, rowers, assault bikes and much
      more! HPTC Winter Season Open Gym is available during
      the peak times of the Fitness Centre 3 times per week
      from 5pm to 8:30pm. No more waiting for the racks!
      Drop-Ins can be purchased at all Guest Services and
      Fitness Desk locations.

      The Holiday season is gone! It’s time to work off turkey
      dinner and get back into that better body that you've been
      talking about for the past three-years of resolutions.

      New Year New You is designed for the beginner to
      intermediate athlete, one of our personal trainers will
      lead you to success by not only burning off the extra
      layer but also teaches effective training habits that you
      can use for the rest of your life. This program will progress
      you through the basics into a fitter more functional frame
      with methods that include total body workouts, circuits,
      weight training, aerobic and anaerobic conditioning.
      You will be experiencing it all in this three-month program
      that teaches your body to move as one and how to be
      the fit and effective version of yourself.

      Bonus! This program includes a 'class pass', allowing
      you not only to attend the New Year New You training
      sessions, but also giving you the flexibility to attend
      other classes at MacDonald Island Park that fit into
      your schedule. Try a new-to-you class or drop-in
      to an old favorite, there is something for everyone.
