Our professional staff teach various Lifesaving Society Lifeguarding courses and Red Cross First Aid courses for ages 8 and up.

      The Lifesaving Society’s Junior Lifeguard Club accommodates 8-15 year olds with minimum of Swim Kids 6. Youths are encouraged to develop skills based on personal bests in swimming, lifesaving, fitness, knowledge, leadership and teamwork. The club provides high activity challenges in an energetic learning environment in the pool and on the deck.

      Bronze Medallion Award teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education: judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, and defence and release methods in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk which involve both conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a timed swim. Includes CPR-A and AED.

      Prerequisite(s):Able to swim 500 metres and Bronze Star (need not be current) or minimum of 13 years of age at the time of the exam.
