Our professional staff teach various Lifesaving Society Lifeguarding courses and Red Cross First Aid courses for ages 8 and up.

      Are you ready for something different than regular swim classes? Looking for a way to develop your swimming strength and efficiency? Rise to the challenge and get your Swim Patrol awards - a perfect fit for anyone wanting to kick it up a notch. Rookie Patrol (8–10 hr.): swimmers continue stroke development with 50 m swims of front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke. Lifesaving Sport skills include a 25 m obstacle swim and 15 m object carry. First aid focuses on assessment of conscious victims, contacting EMS and treatment for bleeding. Fitness improves in 350 m workouts and 100 m timed swims

      Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Completing Bronze Cross also certifies the swimmer with a CPR-C certificate. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certification. Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion Stays current for 2 years from the date of the exam

      National Lifeguard (NL) – Pool Option National Lifeguard (NLS) certification is recognized as the standard for lifeguards in Canada. NLS training develops the basic lifeguarding skills, principles and decision making process to help lifeguards create a safe and enjoyable facility. This course teaches lifeguards to prevent emergencies and if necessary respond effectively. Prerequisite(s): 16 years of age, Bronze Cross and current Standard First Aid with C CPR & AED.

  • National Lifeguard (Pool) Recert Exam

      National Lifeguard (NL) Recertification Exam National Lifeguard (NLS) certification is current for a period of two years from the date of the exam. This recertification exam retests all skill items as well as provides any updated information. Successful completion of this exam will extend the certification for another two years.
