MacDonald Island Park is home to a large fitness centre including free weights, cardio machines and weight machines, a running track with workout pockets and basic workout materials and a new high performance training centre. We also provide personal training services and a wide range of fitness and HPTC classes and programs.

      Strong is the new skinny and this class will empower women above and beyond their expectations. The main focus of our Women on Weights is to incorporate a lifestyle approach with an overall body circuit training class. Our fantastic personal trainers will work with various circuits, compound movements, and a cardio weight training mix to get you the best results possible in a short amount of time. Using a variety of our training equipment such as medicine balls, bosu balls, dumbbells, gliders and more, you will walk away from this class with new level of confidence in your strength training abilities.       This Baby friendly class allows moms to get a great workout while also attending to baby's needs at any time. We combine strength training exercises, cardio intervals, bootcamp training and power walking into an energizing and fun workout. Don't be frightened off by the "bootcamp" name - all of our programs are adjustable to meet your individual needs and goals. Each class provides a full body workout as well as postnatal specific core work and flexibility. This is also a fantastic opportunity to connect with other new moms in the community. We strive to provide a supportive atmosphere for all moms. This program is designed for moms with babies under 18 months of age. Drop-ins are welcomed!

      Our HPTC Spring Season Open Gym gives you the option of utilizing the High Performance Training Centre (HPTC) space on your own where you will be able to utilize all the different pieces of equipment the HPTC has to offer such as the Olympic lifting platform, multiple squat racks, tire flipping, climbing rope, Rogue rig, rowers, assault bikes and much more! HPTC Spring Open Gym is available during the peak times of the Fitness Centre three times per week from 5pm to 8:30pm! No more waiting for the racks! Drop-ins can be purchased at any Guest Services or Fitness desk locations.

The possibilities are endless as this tag team takes you through all the elements of training and then customizes and modifies the workout to meet each individuals specific goals!
